摘要
　　
本文把写摘要作为提高学生阅读和写作能力的一项输出形式，旨在检验输出在中国学生把英语作为第二语言学习中的作用。八十个学生参加了本项试验，他们被分为一个实验组和一个控制组。对实验组进行了写摘要的训练，并且要求在每单元学习之后交上一篇摘要，控制组只是做课后的阅读理解练习。对前测实验结果和后测实验结果分别用t检验进行分析看他们实验前和实验后是否有明显不同。实验后还对实验组进行了调查，以发现他们对写摘要的态度。实验结果如下：摘要写作使学生的阅读能力和写作能力分别都有了提高。实验组成员对写摘要在提高他们阅读和写作能力方面持积极态度。本实验支持了可理解性输出假设理论。
